For the 2026 season, we will be open from May 22nd to October 16th. During the season, we are open for day trips 7 days a week, 8am - 8pm. Overnight stays are available in our cabins, tents, and campsites.

Anyone can come for a day trip or an overnight stay. Wilderness On Wheels is an accessible mountain facility. Our cabins, boardwalk, fishing dock, tent sites, and huts are wheelchair accessible.

Every year, Wilderness On Wheels serves the community and provides nature access to people with disabilities, veterans, people experiencing chronic health issues, and more.

Our boardwalks are also very stroller friendly and we welcome families.

$25 is the suggested donation for day trips (per car). Please keep in mind that Wilderness On Wheels is a nonprofit organization. We rely on donations and volunteers.

Yes, dogs are allowed at Wilderness On Wheels. Please pick up after them and always keep them on a leash.

We suggest a donation of $25 per vehicle. This is a donation to Wilderness On Wheels and supports our accessible mountain facility and accessible programs.

Sliding scale rates are available for people with disabilities, health issues, or mobility challenges. We don’t turn anyone away.

If you are also a nonprofit organization or a senior center, please inquire for our group rate discount.

We have a small gift shop / market.

We stock Wilderness On Wheels apparel and swag, disability awareness books & stickers, basic personal care needs, cold beverages, coffee, snacks, and other basic supplies like sunscreen, bug spray, condiments, salt/pepper.

Our gift shop & market opens at 8am and is closed by 8pm. Come by and check it out!

Absolutely! We have an ongoing need for volunteers.

We welcome individuals, families, church mission groups, corporate groups, and more.

Yes! We have hosted numerous wedding ceremonies over the years at Wilderness On Wheels.

The charge for your ceremony is a donation to Wilderness On Wheels. Please reach out for more info!

Wilderness On Wheels is located off of highway 285, right before Kenosha Pass. 45924 U.S. HWY 285, Grant, CO 80448.

Wilderness On Wheels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mountain facility resides on 22-acres of property in Grant, CO. No one owns Wilderness On Wheels, is it a nonprofit organization.

Every donation goes to supporting equal access to nature, to maintaining and operating the facility, and to help fund our yearly WOW Fest in August.
