Our Mission: Equal Access to Nature.

Wilderness On Wheels is a small nonprofit with a huge footprint. Our accessible mountain facility has been welcoming thousands of guests each year since 1986. We have accessible hiking on our boardwalks, adaptive fishing at our wheelchair accessible fishing pond, and overnight stays (accessible cabins, huts, and tent sites).

At Wilderness On Wheels, we are breaking down barriers and creating inclusion in the outdoor space. Support our mission by visiting, volunteering, and donating.

  • Wilderness On Wheels was built to be inclusive and accessible. Our facility is wheelchair accessible and we encourage everyone to come out and visit (whether you use a mobility device or not). Wilderness On Wheels partners with local organizations that support individuals with disabilities, as well as senior citizens. Groups of people (children and adults) with disabilities, and senior groups, will come to Wilderness On Wheels for day trips and to enjoy exploring nature in a place that is accessible and welcoming.
