Almost August at WOW

Things are happening up at WOW this summer.  Of course we have had some great visitors, and not just from Colorado, but around the nation.  We also have had the Choppers Motorcycle Club spend the weekend as a fundraiser for WOW, they brought up around 65 people and a D.J., a food catering truck, and everyone had a great time.  We appreciated their enthusiasm for our park, and hope that they will return again next year. The pond has been stocked by the COLO Game a nd Fish Dept., which we appreciate very much, and our young and older disabled anglers have enjoyed catching, frying and eating those great Rocky Mountain Trout. Our big news at WOW this summer is that we have our 3-stall garage going up.  Several retired carpenters/inspectors from the Colorado Code Council (members from all over the state), spent a Saturday raising the garage, and within the next few weeks we hope to have the roof on, and the garage completed - thanks in part to everyone who has donated, or discounted product, and the wonderful volunteers who are helping with the project.  Last, for all you die-hard campers, the  PARK COUNTY FIRE BAN is off, so you can now enjoy a sensible camp fire as you stay at WOW for the day or overnight.  Remember to call for a reservation for the two cabins or one of the many huts or tent spaces we offer, but if you wish to just drop in for a day visit, come on up the hill to Wilderness on Wheels.  We'll be expecting you.  303-838-7817 shed2shed1
